Position Summary
Quality Mart Assistant Managers are chosen leaders who are responsible for assisting in all convenience store operations in addition to the associate responsibilities, the Assistant Manager provides support to the manager and store employees to maintain operational excellence. Assistant Managers demonstrate, train and hold all associates responsible for providing the “WOW” customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Operational Duties of leadership in the completion of daily paperwork, take-control-order inventory, cash management, opening and closing duties and staff management.Completing Shift Duties including stocking, trash removal, cleaning, organizing, and outside maintenance of pumps and lot and building.Also, maintaining point of sale maintenance such as corrections, cash management, loyalty and coupon management.Manage customer service and complaint resolution where possible. Listen and resolve any customer complaints or issues in the absence of or in conjunction with the manager.Maintain Core Ideology as they are the founding principles of our organization and our leadership is expected to know and live out the core ideology in the store operations, customer service, and staff management.Be fully cross trained in other departments as well, such as maintenance and deli.Requirements
Have Basic math, reading, writing and communication skills.Be able to perform repetitive work accurately, stand, bend, crouch, climb, kneel, walk and lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Be able to work in a cooler (34’) or a freezer (-10’) for up to 15 minutes at a time.Clean and assist customers outside in inclement weather such as cold, wet, hot etc...Must have strict attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.Always maintain a clean and appropriate uniform while being punctual for all assigned shifts, including any agreed upon for coverage.Follow all safety procedures, use MSDS Sheets and if applicable Food Safety procedures are all adhered to as well. Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.Keep the outside lot and pumps clean and functioning properly.Maintain landscaping and building maintenance and repairs.Help inside by stocking, cleaning, sweeping, moping, bagging ice and other duties assigned by leadershipReport any safety issues, use MSDS sheets and maintain a stocked first aid kit and spill kit at each location that they are assigned to work.
