Position Summary
Quality Mart Managers are responsible for the overall operation of the Quality Mart location while providing every employee and customer with superior satisfaction. The tasks of the Manager are to supervise all employees from hiring, training and labor scheduling; performing daily paperwork such as bank deposits and money orders; and managing inventory and stocking of store while maintaining the cleanliness of the property. Managers will also always provide excellent customer service, including greeting all customers with a friendly and helpful attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Greet all customers warmly and assist as needed. Correctly ringing all purchases, handling all payments and proving correct change. Keeping a balanced register every shift, day, and investigating any discrepancies and reporting issues immediately.Adhering to all Company policies, organizing, stocking, rotating products, stocking shelves, maintaining displays and stocking coolers. Completing duties effectively and in a timely manner.Keeping all areas of the store clean. This includes the bathrooms, stock rooms, sales floors and any other items assigned by leadership. Including removing trash, sweeping and moping, restocking restroom supplies.Also, cross training in the Deli’s and all departments of their assigned locations.Hire, Train, and Schedule staff to meet store demands and organizational needs and attend any required training classes and meetings.Perform daily paperwork including but not limited to bank deposits, cash register sales and daily staff management.Manage customer service and complaint resolution where possible. Listen and resolve any customer complaints or issues in the absence of or in conjunction with the manager.Maintain Core Ideology as they are the founding principles of our organization and our leadership is expected to know and live out the core ideology in the store operations, customer service, and staff management.Requirements
Have Basic math, reading, writing and communication skills. Along with strict attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Always providing the WOW factor and teaching that to all teammates.Be able to perform repetitive work accurately, stand, bend, crouch, climb, kneel, walk and lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Be able to work in a cooler (34’) or a freezer (-10’) for up to 15 minutes at a time.Clean and assist customers outside in inclement weather such as cold, wet, hot etc...Must have strict attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.Always maintain a clean and appropriate uniform while being punctual for all assigned shifts, including any agreed upon for coverage.Follow all safety procedures, use MSDS Sheets and if applicable Food Safety procedures are all adhered to as well. Have and maintain a valid driver’s license for running store errands, such as bank deposits and attending class.Keep the outside lot and pumps clean and functioning properly. Maintain landscaping and building maintenance and repairs.Work inside by stocking, cleaning, sweeping, moping, bagging ice and other duties assigned by leadership.Report any safety issues, use MSDS sheets and maintain a stocked first aid kit and spill kit at each location that they are assigned to work.
