We are seeking a leader for the Operation Strategy team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketplace Operations, a member of Qoo10’s leadership team. The candidate is expected to drive further growth and innovation as we continue shaping the future of online beauty retail. The candidate will be a creative problem solver and project leader with high levels of intellectual curiosity. Within this role, the candidate will have the ability to identify and execute cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth, refine Qoo10’s operational strategy to align with key corporate goals, and effectively communicate with the eBay Global team through executive-level storytelling in English to deliver impactful reports and presentations.
Job Responsibilities include:
[Execution of Cross-Functional Initiatives]
Identify and execute large-scale, high-impact cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth.Enhance efficiency and operational excellence across the business by introducing and aligning tools, processes, and best practices.[Operation Strategy Development]
Analyze data and industry insights, competitor landscapes to inform and support decision-making.Develop and refine Qoo10’s detailed operation strategy to align with the Beauty Super Gap Strategy and capitalize on emerging growth opportunities.[Operation Analytics]
Identify and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and operational challenges to diagnose issues and uncover opportunities for improvement.Drive impact by optimizing day-to-day operations, improving overall performance, and contributing to business growth.[Market intelligence]
Develop insightful market intelligence about key industry trends (technology, competitors, consumers, and so on).[Reporting & communication with eBay Global team]
Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations to the eBay Global team with compelling storytelling in English.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's or equivalent experience or master's degree10+ years of professional work experience is required, including either 3+ years at a consulting firm or 5+ years in corporate strategy or a similar role.Fluent level of English and Japanese language skill (reading, writing, speaking).Strong communication skills to lead strategic conversations with diverse counterparties inside and outside the company.Be diverse, inclusive, and collaborate with people from widely a diverse group of backgrounds, languages, perspectives, and geographies.Capable of juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritizing opportunities.Be self-driven, detail-oriented, and show ability to tackle complicated problems with highly analytical path forward in a dynamic industry and corporate environment.
