Qualification Cell Operator

A Qualification Cell Operator Labor Grade 12 is required, at a minimum, to be able to qualify all product families, trouble shoot problem jobs, and correct, or identify non-conformance as determined by the Monogram Aerospace management team. They are also required to, at a minimum, qualify for two jobs per eight-hour shift, when assigned two jobs. They must maintain a first pass yield as determined by the Monogram management team. The Qualification Cell Operator must be proficient with all measuring tools required to complete and perform a qualification. The Operator must also be able to fill out qualification documentation accurately and legibly. This position also requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and ingenuity. The Operator must possess great self-motivation, excellent work habits, and work ethic. They must be able to follow all instruction given to them by their leaders and Management. In addition, the Qualification Cell Operator labor grade 12 will trouble shoot and make function all automated equipment. The employee will assist with the setting up of all automated equipment and will need to help with the day-to-day operation of the Assembly and Qualification department as determined by Management.

Description of essential functions, requirements, and responsibilities:

Under Managements direction and subject to periodic review, the operator performs the following:

Sets-up and operates all assembly machines as required by management.Qualifies work pieces in accordance with customer and company specifications.Makes data driven adjustments to work piece so that the qualification meets all required specifications.Records all qualification data specific to the work piece clearly and legibly on form ASS-01Can give either verbally or in writing, instructions to assembly operators regarding specific issues about how the part needs to be processed through the assembly area, to ensure that the work piece will conform to specifications.Must be able to collaborate well with other team members.Must be able to take direction and communicate verbally and in writing in English.Must be able to qualify two jobs in 8 hours. This requirement is in effect when they have been assigned two or more jobs by their leader and Management.Operator will be required to master all new product families within a time to be determined by the Management team and depending on workflow requirements.Cell operator will train all incoming and new Qualifiers, and Assembly employees on all product families when needed.Operator will trouble shoot, fix, and make function all problem jobs with the assistance of an engineering Tech when available, and or when the Qualification and assembly Manager, and supervisor determine that the Qualification Cell Operator needs assistance due to workload, and or difficulty of any problem job.Employee will be able to operate a Lathe, Mill, and Surface Grinder.Qualification Cell Operator will be able to adjust and repair Traub’s, Robots, Assembly Tables, Qualification stations, and other equipment in the Assembly and Qualification area.The Qualification Cell Operator Labor grade 13, will be able to perform all the job functions required in the Assembly and Qualification departments. In addition, the Qualification Cell Operator will possess the ability to repair, replace and refurbish assembly and qualification machinery as needed by Management.Operator will order and replace crimp collets as needed.Operator will order and procure assembly and qualification tools and motors as needed.

The Qualification Cell Operator position is a key and integral part of the manufacturing process. It requires a self-driven individual with exceptional knowledge of the components, and how they work. Operators will use various tools including measuring tools to perform their day-to-day functions. At times, the Operator may be required to lift to twenty-five pounds. They will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is loud. Depending on the season, the factory could be extremely hot and or very cold. They are required to always use proper personal protective equipment when inside the factory. The Qualifier must be able to fill in qualification documentation correctly and accurately. They must be able to read blueprints. Qualifiers will need to be able to distinguish a conforming part from a non-conforming part. The qualifier must possess an elevated level of integrity and must understand that they are manufacturing critical components for the Aerospace industry. Therefore, all company rules and regulation as determined by Management are always to be followed and observed without exception.
