MAU is hiring a Qualification Project Engineer for our client in Bangor, ME. As a Qualification Project Engineer, you will develop and manage qualification standards, oversee equipment purchases and installations, lead process improvements, and drive cost-effective solutions to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering General Requirements 2–3 years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing Program management experience Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies Experience working within matrix organizations Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Ability to establish trust with team members and stakeholders Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to quality Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic, global environment Proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive innovation Essential Functions Develop qualification standards in collaboration with Global Supply Chain and Engineering Oversee timelines and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification Participate in and facilitate Kaizen events and roadmaps to support capacity ramp-up Lead qualification processes from initiation to completion, including parts and special processes (e.g., coatings, brazing) Leverage design and manufacturing expertise to enhance the qualification process, reduce costs, and add value Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in qualification processes Provide regional and, in some cases, global shop support Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and drive a culture of urgency, quality, and continuous improvement
