To strengthen our team in the area of Qualification & Standards Management at the Trier Global Packaging Development Center, we are looking for a Qualification & Standards Manager (m/f/d) in permanent employment.
Your job mission:
The Global Packaging Development Center is responsible for overseeing and advising internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Research and Development Functions, Global Supply Chain, Suppliers) on the technical execution of conventional or RRP packaging projects, from the development and qualification of new packaging designs and materials to the revision and production of existing packaging products, as well as managing the execution according to project timeline and maintenance in JTI systems. The Qualification & Standards Team is responsible for the qualification and monitoring of Packaging suppliers globally, maintenance of the local Quality Management System in R&D Packaging and for the Packaging specification management system.

Your tasks:
Leading qualifications of new print and artwork suppliers globally including risk assessments, trainings and audits in close collaboration with the internal stakeholders Leading surveillance audits of existing print and artwork suppliers including risk-based prioritization, remote or onsite audits, creation of action plans Establishing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing global standards for print, conversion, and artwork. This includes defining specifications, test methods and daily operation standards for suppliers, with clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System in R&D Packaging function and coordinate the respective internal audit activities and corrective and preventive actions
Your profile:
Relevant educational background: University or technical degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering or Quality Management Practical experience: Several years of experience in packaging area, preferably within the FMCG industry (e.g. as Printing Engineer, Packaging Engineer, or Quality Manager). Valuable knowledge: Deep understanding of supplier management (supplier qualifications, surveillance audits) Special strengths: Good knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, BRCGS) and statistical methods. Familiarity with printing and converting technologies as well as design standards Language Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English. Additional foreign language skills are advantageous, preferably in German Suitable personality: Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and in an international environment. Excellent communication, moderation, and presentation skills Practiced working time model: flexitime
