About the role
We're looking for a Quality Advisor, to join our growing National team!
As a Quality Advisor in our Quality Centre of Excellence in Operational Performance, your work will have a big impact on the achievement of our company goals and strategic priorities. You will support the Personal Lines and Commercial Lines distribution teams across Canada to achieve their objectives of service outperformance and enhanced broker experience, by providing constructive feedback / coaching through observations (telephone and transactional). You will provide solutions and recommendations to develop underwriters’ skills and identify areas for continuous improvement and training. This position requires a minimum of 2 days in the Intact office located in Ontario (700 University Ave, Mississauga, Ajax, London or Ottawa) or Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton).
What you'll do here:
Conduct telephone and transactional observations to facilitate the integration of new hires and role changes
Identify trends and areas of opportunity to develop underwriters’ skills on a continuous basis, providing recommendations and proposed actions to achieve desired performance
Provide constructive feedback to help build team and individual development and coaching plan(s)
Collaborate with other business units by sharing trends observed and contribute to the development of training and continuous improvement of standards
Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in support of new processes, workarounds and systems development
Collaborate with distribution teams to ensure effective implementation of new processes and tools
Rely on your understanding of business processes and applicable systems, as well as industry knowledge
Maintain up-to-date technical and underwriting expertise through call handling and production (transactional) support, as required
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 5 years Personal Lines or Commercial Lines underwriting experience
Coaching and skills development experience
Be an ambassador of change
Service oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Work effectively and cooperatively with others; able to build rapport and establish trust
Positive attitude, team spirit and willingness to learn
Strong level experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint) and other tools (SharePoint)
Chartered Insurance Professional designation is a strong asset
Bilingual (French and English) is an asset. Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
