Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the E-2D Program. This position will be in Melbourne, FL. You will develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control data, lean manufacturing concepts, agile concepts, six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensuring that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Perform reviews, analysis and reports on quality discrepancy trends related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigate issues, develop dispositions, and apply root cause and corrective action processes for systemic concerns.

You will aid on time product delivery by learning and applying process planning, development, review and execution techniques. As part of the Mission Assurance (MA) team you will be preparing, reviewing and delivering mission assurance review (MAR) and program corrective action board (PCAB) packages along with metrics as a key responsibility. Program Directives and Command Media provides our base guidelines, and you will participate in development, review and release of program process documents, work instructions, and desktop instructions. Initiate and track formal program root cause and corrective action processes through oversight of the Corrective and Preventative Action process. Schedule, track and report program process audits through risk analysis, audit outcomes and timely completions. Initiate and maintain various tracking tools to provide Mission Assurance Program Managers, Directors and above the oversight necessary to execute on various programmatic demands that require senior leader attention. Interface with varying levels of program and mission assurance leadership to ensure taskings are being executed and tracked to completion. Support the deficiency reporting process by validating responses and tracking tasks. Lastly, when necessary, provide varied Mission Assurance support across various integrated process teams (IPT). Execution of these tasks will require attention to detail and solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks while working closely with the MA and IPT teams. Strong computer skills are necessary with a robust level of understanding Microsoft Office Suite products.

Basic Qualifications

Quality Analyst:

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing or Military Aviation

Experience reviewing data, specifications, and standards

Experience creating and reviewing technical documents

Ability to review large amounts of data daily

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications

Broad understanding of aerospace quality management systems

Very effective verbal and written communication skills

General knowledge of AS9100 standards. 

Experience working with a cross functional team

Principal Quality Analyst:

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing or Military Aviation

Experience reviewing data, specifications, and standards

Experience creating and reviewing technical documents

Ability to review large amounts of data daily

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications

Broad understanding of aerospace quality management systems

Very effective verbal and written communication skills

General knowledge of AS9100 standards. 

Experience working with a cross functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements

Proficient in use of manufacturing information systems

Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis

Salary Range: $62,200.00 - $93,400.00Salary Range 2: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
