Quality and Root Cause Specialist

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations into process failures and customer complaints. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Develop, implement, and monitor CAPA initiatives based on findings from root cause analysis. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality standards. Prepare and review quality documentation, including inspection protocols, control plans, and process validation.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze quality metrics, such as incident rates, COPQ, and customer satisfaction. Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to team members on quality best practices, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Lead change management initiatives associated with process improvements to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in process mapping, procedure, and work instruction documentation.
Strong proficiency with Visio, Smartsheets, and Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organization skills to track document progress needed.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results
Experience with process optimization and creating efficiencies
Strong analytical skills with experience using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, etc.)
