The role: Quality & Standards Lead

You will support the Quality & Standards Manager to oversee regulatory compliance and industry standards within the Global Operations Integrated Operational Control Centre as well as ensuring co-ordination of safety performance data and safety investigations that contribute to a safe and secure operation.

What you’ll do:

Conduct safety investigations in line with our Corporate Safety and Security StandardsAnalyse safety performance data to identify risks and/or recommendations for continuous improvementDevelop risk action plans to manage identified risks within BA Global OperationsCollaborate with Central Safety and Flight Operations teams to ensure compliance is maintained.Conduct internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance within Global Operations Integrated Operations Control Centre.Administer data for safety and quality meetings

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Strong understanding of aviation safety operational procedures and processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to engage and influence othersStrong knowledge of safety, security and environmental requirements and legislationAbility to work collaboratively across Directorates in a regulated environmentProactively plan projects to achieve deadlines without supervisionAbility to interpret safety data and identify potential areas for standards improvements

Your experience:

Experience in airline operationsWorking with interpreting technical standardsWorking in a safety critical environmentAuditing experience (desirable)Experience working with Safety Management Systems
