Overview\n

Monitors plant operations of compliance with regulatory and company requirements in the Harvest Dept. QA will be responsible for paperwork he\/she is assigned. Tech will monitor area from pre-wash up until gut table. They will assure that tags are in place where is needed (black, red, yellow tags). At each break, they will change out SRM sterilizers and make sure that any contact area is cleaned at each break. Tech will also check equipment after each break. Acts as liaison to USDA regulators.\n

Responsibilities\n

Duties include but are not limited to:\n\nPerforming environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products.\nCalibration of thermometers and scales on a daily basis.\nMonitor sanitation standard operating procedures and document SSOP's in accordance with the companies program.\nMonitoring and documenting the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products.\nMonitoring foreign material detection and rejection.\nMonitoring and recording weights of finished products.\nTaking raw and finished product temperatures.\nMonitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products.\nGenerating and completing the required records and documentation on a daily basis for each product line in accordance to the customer's specifications.\nPerform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company's HACCP programs.\nWorking alongside USDA and production employees.\nMonitor and ensure food security and safety.\n\n

Qualifications\n\nH.S. diploma\nGood Work History - QA in food processing preferred\nBe able to possess basic math and computer skills, and be able to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs.\nMust possess good analytical and logical problem-solving skills.\nMust be HACCP certified, or be able to become HACCP certified.\nMust have excellent oral and written skills at a technical and general level.\nKnowledgeable with USDA inspected facilities.\n\n
