Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to support our commitment to delivering high-quality snack products. This role ensures that all finished products meet our “Truly Enjoyable Snacks” standard while maintaining compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and operational safety standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturing teams to uphold quality assurance protocols and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Adhere to all GMPs, food safety requirements, and company policies. Monitor incoming raw materials by checking specific gravity on each load of potatoes. Assess moisture content of chips and communicate results to fryer operators for adjustments. Verify salt and seasoning levels to ensure compliance with target specifications. Perform organoleptic evaluations (color, flavor, texture) of chips and collaborate with production teams for quality improvements. Analyze frying oils for Free Fatty Acids (FFAs) and advise corrective actions. Inspect net weights, packaging integrity, and coding of finished products to ensure regulatory compliance. Check oxygen content in product packaging. Assist in verifying metal detector performance and support corrective actions as needed. Conduct GMP audits and verify adherence to food safety protocols. Inspect production lines during start-up and changeovers, using swabs to validate cleaning effectiveness. Identify and segregate out-of-spec products with QC Hold tags, ensuring proper documentation. Collect and test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products based on established procedures. Communicate test results to operators and production leads, assisting in necessary adjustments. Monitor production activities to uphold food safety and quality standards. Qualifications & Skills: Experience in quality assurance, food safety, or manufacturing (preferred). Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and quality control standards.
