Quality Assurance Analyst - NISSC II

Our NORAD Operations Group

 

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

 

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided\:

·       Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

·       Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

·       Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

·       Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

·       Software development and integration.

 

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at\:

·       Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

·       Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

·       Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

·       Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

·       Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

 

Description of Duties\:

The Quality Assurance Analyst supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will\:

 

·       Collaborate on tasks such as product audits (including documentation, software testing, hardware physical configuration audits, etc.) and process audits as necessary.

·       Plan and execute internal process audits for the program.

·       Analyze evidence to determine if audited processes produce quality products and meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

·       Execute the Quality Control Program.

·       Facilitate root cause analysis events using quality tools like 5 Whys and Fish-bone diagrams to identify nonconformities.

·       Report, track, and resolve audit findings, corrections, and corrective actions.

·       Support process owners in mapping and documenting management system processes.

·       Coordinate updates to processes to address defects caused by process deficiencies.

·       Review deliverables and processes to ensure stakeholders are aware of potential areas of nonconformity.

·       Work with customers, leaders, and teams across the program to ensure processes are effective and efficient.

·       Review Technical Order updates, conduct Verification and Certification events, and evaluate Technical drawings.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

·       Must have 5 years of related experience in, quality assurance, quality control, auditing, and/or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications.

·       Must have a strong working knowledge of Technical Order Certification/Verification processes and interpreting Technical drawings.

·       Must have experience with software testing, hardware, auditing, and/or process compliance

·       Must have an understanding of fundamental quality principles and auditing practices, with experience in AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Standards.

·       Must have experience working with, and effectively communicating to, senior leaders.

·       Must have experience working in customer-facing roles, strong interpersonal skills, able to build and manage customer relationships.

·       Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·       Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

·       Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI Security Clearance

 

Desired Requirements\:

·       Have experience with DoD Space and Missile Defense Contracts

·       Have a certification in AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Standards.

·       Have a Quality Auditor certification

·       Have experience in an IT Service Environment.

 

 

This position is expected to pay $80,000 - $95,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
