About the team
Our Product and Technology teams are the Worldpayers behind the game-changing products and digital experiences we’re best known for. Striving for better, they never stand still — delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.
What you’ll own
Work with the rest of the squad to understand requirements, define the acceptance criteria, collaboratively create the appropriate automated tests and perform the relevant verification of user stories.
Collaboratively define and improve the quality gates used in the build and deployment pipelines.
Define data sets and use them to drive improvements in the way your squad works.
Supporting and mentoring more junior engineers within the squad
Engage with the rest of the QA community to review and improve our ways of working driven by tests and automation
What you bring
Experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in an agile environment.
Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and how QA is applied in it.
Exposure to Shift Left in Quality Assurance.
Experience with a range of tools appropriate to QA activities, with a strong focus on exploratory testing.
An engineering skillset that is focused on quality and a test first philosophy, regardless of the activity
An agile mindset where you will drive both your squad and the wider tribe towards better ways of working
Experience working alongside with the whole squad, including the Product Owner, and with external stakeholders.
Desirable:
Experience working in a team developing microservices and or web applications
Experience using data to drive decision making
Exposure to messaging systems
Exposure to the Payments industry domain (especially Cards and other payment schemes)
Exposure to PCI-DSS
