SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Davidstow, Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy-free products.

This is a key role to ensure we continue to run a compliant and safe production site (covering cheese and whey production areas), with this role offering the opportunity to assist with continuous improvement projects after they have been identified through investigations, along with updating constantly evolving SOPs.

Working within a team, you will have the opportunity to continue learning and developing your knowledge of the plant and processes to ensure compliance, deliver audits, and act as a facilitator between operations and the on-site and external labs.

3-on/3-off days & nights 7-7

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

Ensuring GMP and internal audits are conducted throughout the site, striving for daily improvements and engaging all teams and departments, with non-compliance corrected with the relevant teams.Conducting incoming and outgoing checks to goods and materials to ensure compliance.Quarantining and rejecting (when applicable) packaging, raw materials, and final product.Driving front line foreign body identification and investigation, ensuring collaboration with the relevant department teams.Completing reporting and sending these to relevant bodies through multiple portals.Checking CCP’s, labelling etc. to ensure quality and food safety compliance.Completing environmental sampling as per schedule.Conducting hygiene assessments.Registering QA samples to internal and external laboratories.Verifying operator checks where required and participating in laboratory proficiency testing.

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

Experienced with QA/auditing responsibilities and requirements – or can showcase strong knowledge.Experienced with, or can show an understanding of, HAACP.Experienced working within food or similar production environments.A hands-on individual, with an eye for detail and ability to influence the actions of others.Able to demonstrate experience working with data, reports, and different systems.
