Quality Assurance - Brampton

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Supervisor at our Brampton plant. The incumbent is responsible for leading the quality systems and process control strategy related to production at the Brampton, ON plant.

The incumbent will lead efforts to analyze and reduce variations in processes, develop preventive measures and ensure compliance with quality standards. In addition, he will collaborate with the Production,BP Warranty Organization, Research and Development, Product Management and other important functional areas to achieve key organizational objectives with careful attention to particular attention to quality and process control systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Manage the quality assurance function and its personnel at the factory. Lead the design and implementation of the quality management system in the plant to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Proactively plan, control and ensure product and process quality in accordance with established quality principles to eliminate potential sources of failure. This includes planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling and measurement systems. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and product management teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into new products and processes so that production performance and yield meet required standards.  Lead the change management process in the plant to identify, prioritize and mitigate risks associated with planned changes.  Define and supervise audits of raw materials, products and processes to ensure that finished products conform to specified requirements at the time of manufacturing and before shipping.  Manage the development, maintenance and compliance with local standard working documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures and work instructions.  Supervise or implement the development of measurement tools that enable the evaluation of products and processes.

Administer the verification/calibration process of all process monitoring and product inspection equipment.

 Develop and lead the monthly plant quality report/dashboard (complaints, open/closed cases, root cause stratification) and communicate with plant supervisors and operators and middle management.  Lead the various certifications necessary for the company and ensure that the quality management system keeps production and process in compliance.  Owner of the Cost of Non-Quality (COPQ) measure: present data on a monthly basis and drive improvements.  Interact with customers and suppliers (audits, projects, complaint resolution, site visits, factory visits, etc.)  Lead quality-related root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).  Work closely with the Kaycan warranty support organization to address customer complaints in a timely manner.  Create and/or update drawings, specifications, product history files, feature books
