Job Description

Manage, lead, establish, implement, and maintain all Quality Management Systems, policies, programs, and activities to ensure conformance to all regulatory and ISO standards. Oversee Quality Control of BPF raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Implement new instruments and methods to ensure and improve quality control. Mentor and train team members, fostering a high-performance team.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update standards, policies, and procedures for production.Manage QC/QA team and KPIs.Address supplier and customer quality and food safety issues.Handle complaint management and write reports.Schedule and perform quality audits, monitor metrics, and analyze data.Ensure conformance to ISO and FSMA standards.Submit documents for certification to regulatory agencies.Maintain and update product recall procedures.Oversee and cross-train the quality team.Manage evaluation/testing of incoming raw materials and shelf-life extensions.Assist regulatory team with quality-related customer requests.Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Logistics, R&D, and Customer Service.Essential SkillsQuality assurance and control expertise.Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor the QC/QA team.Up-to-date knowledge of ISO standards, FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI audit protocols.Strong sense of customer service and ability to handle complaints effectively.Highly developed organizational and project management skills.Effective communication skills with customers and all levels of the organization.Ability to taste and discriminate sensory properties of flavors and raw materials.Computer knowledge and skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications10+ years in food safety and quality management.15+ years in the flavor or food and beverage industry.BS degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related fields (MS degree is a plus).HACCP certification required.Knowledge of GFSI audit protocols and US food/beverage regulations.Certification for auditing is a plus.Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00
