Quality Assurance Engineer, Amazon
The Team: The Personalization team’s mission is to grow each customer’s relationship with Amazon by leveraging our understanding of them to recommend the most relevant content when they have the highest propensity to interact with it. The team is responsible for features such as “Customers who bought this item also bought,” “Recommended for you”, "Keep shopping for", “#FoundItOnAmazon”, “Buy again”, as well as other personalized recommendations that you find throughout the Amazon.com site. Our features are used by millions of customers each day to discover new products. We work with exciting new technologies to solve complex problems across multiple browsers, platforms and mobile devices, data quality, and data sets from machine-learning systems.

The Role: Amazon’s Personalization Team is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to test new technology and to push the boundaries on quality for the portfolio of features in Personalization.

About You:
As a QAE, you will help tackle a variety of technical challenges. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build test systems in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will own authoring and the execution of our test cases and manage our continuous deployment systems that will have a significant impact in the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly our customers. You will work closely with developers, software test engineers, and managers in order to ensure the features we deliver to our customers have a high level of quality. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems. Along the way, we guarantee that you’ll learn a ton, have fun and make a positive impact on millions of people.

The ideal candidate will have good hands-on experience in test automation and testing, with good knowledge of the core software testing techniques (equivalence class partitioning, boundary value testing, verifying each requirement and state transition). We expect the ideal candidate to work both independently as well as in collaboration with others on our team.
