Quality Assurance Engineer, II, Amazon Ring/Blink Devices
Blink is the result of one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever, growing the business at an astounding rate since the first product introduction in 2016. Blink products are manufactured in multiple places around the globe and the data we need to build these products needs to transfer quickly and securely to keep up with the pace. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and continue breaking new ground in our Manufacturing Intelligence. Come and help us design and develop the next generation of manufacturing support, build useful dashboards to help our Customers fully understand how production is running in real time across the world.

Key job responsibilities
Holistic Quality Assurance Testing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements, design and maintain detailed test cases, and conduct automated test execution, while continuously improving processes, performing load and performance testing, and managing test environments to ensure optimal software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Performance and Load Testing: Conducting performance, scalability, and load testing to ensure the application can handle the expected load.

Code development for testing: Engineer will be responsible for writing test code in Python, ensuring robust test automation and enhancing the overall quality assurance process.

User Documentation: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to update team Wikis and documents in accordance with Amazon standards per requirements.

Defect Identification and Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking tools, and working closely with the development team to resolve them.

Automation Development: Writing and maintaining automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to increase test coverage and efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure quality standards are met.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assessing risks associated with releases and working on strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal impact on production environments.

A day in the life
You will work closely with internal team members, and outside partners to drive key aspects of test flow definition, design, execution, and test. The day starts by checking any tickets, dashboard, alarms for anything that has occurred over night. We follow the Agile plan to discuss things that happened the day before and what will happen today. You'll be deeply involved with AWS and working applications deployed at the Contract Manufacturer's.


About the team
In our group we embrace what it means to be full stack from backend, web, database, to dashboards. Our team is fluid and able to move within applications as necessary. Sometimes we do lunch and learns to share fun things we've learned or have lunch with other groups. As the Manufacturing Intelligence team we help show our customers how the factories are performing in a way not done before within Amazon. We use the latest AWS processes and are security compliant with our data and information that flows through to our CMs.
