We collaborate extensively with system engineers, product owners, subject matter experts and various product stakeholders to create unique products. We are responsible for implementing solutions that are aligned with our future and extending shared platforms and solutions for Completions and Baker Hughes.

In this role, you will be responsible to work on Baker Hughes software products related to Oil & Gas domain and has responsibilities primarily contributing to ensuring product quality & advancing, developing and increasing test automation.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work as part of a Scrum team to deliver product to our customer:

Understanding application domain and functionality, translate functional requirements and specifications into lean documented test cases and steps, with an eye to do automation-first.

Cultivating deep domain expertise, be adept at test automation & demonstrate great customer focus, be passionate about quality.

Contributing to design and/or advancing an automated testing framework for epics, features and user stories for acceptance, functional, regression & performance testing.

Contributing to operationalizing the automation strategy.

Contributing to evangelizing the use of test automation throughout the development process.

Using test automation techniques that fit the problem space.

Engaging in technical discussions, participate in technical designs and present technical ideas for review & consideration.

Demonstrating skills in integrating project testing with continuous-integration process.

Displaying keen awareness of open source and commercial automation tools and knack for exploration and application within project as appropriate.

Being open to perform manual/exploratory testing, when necessary.

Demonstrating an understanding of Agile software development methods and drive the advancement of test automation within the organization's development methodology.

Working closely with peers and engage with a global, fast paced technical design and development team to deliver tasks to meet product release goals.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software Development and Testing, with significant automation experience.

Have experience working as part of teams following Agile Scrum methodology.

Have a good understanding of requirements, scenario identification, writing test cases, test execution and debugging.

Have experience in Web application, Web Service testing, Database testing via automation.

Have knowledge of Automated build and testing platforms

Have knowledge of testing both with and without a GUI (SoapUI, RESTful API, Web services)

Have knowledge of bug tracking tools such as TFS, Rally, Jira

Have strong knowledge of Centralized and Distributed Version Control Systems (TFS, Subversion, Github, Git etc)

Have strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

Have expert in breaking down problems and estimating time for development tasks.

Have demonstrate clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with product owners, tech leads, team members.

Ability to work well with global teams, including time zone flexibility.
