Job Description:

Summary:

The role involves writing, automating, and executing functional test cases for new software enhancements to ensure full application test coverage. Key tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams to address software issues, testing APIs using tools like Postman and Swagger, and maintaining test automation frameworks. Additionally, the position requires troubleshooting application logs, building database queries, and ensuring timely resolution of failed test cases

Job Responsibilities

Write functional test cases for new enhancements and subsequently automate themEnsure overall application test coverageUnderstand requirements and provide estimationsWork closely with software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts to triage reported software issuesTesting API using various tools like Postman and SwaggerIdentify and automate test cases to improve the automation coverageEnsure failed automation test cases are promptly corrected/addressedAnalyze application logs and investigate root cause for reported issuesBuild database queries to investigate data related issuesExecute both automation and manual test cases and record test outcomesKeep repositories and test practices updated with the latest industry developmentsDesign and develop automation testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks
 

Qualifications and Skills

5-8 years of experience in QAA minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working on Selenium with C#Testing experience on PowerApps applicationsUnderstanding of SDLC and STLCShould have basic to advanced SQL skillsShould have used any of the following Frameworks: Selenium, SpecFlow, TestNG, Data Driven, Keyword driven related FrameworksStrong functional testing knowledge and conceptsFamiliar with Database access using tools to review test resultsExperience in preparing detailed test cases, executing them and reporting defectsShould have experience working in Agile-Scrum processKnowledge on tools such as Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), MTM (Microsoft Test Manager), Jenkins or similar, preferredExperience working with GitExperience on Performance testing is a plusGood communication skillsAbility to multi-task and work separate issues in a fast paced & dynamic company environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction or as part of a teamHigh energy, proactive and approachable personality who enjoys solving a diverse set of problemsProven problem-solving abilities and creative thinkingHave an attention to detailA bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering streams
