As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software applications, as well as integrating them with existing systems. You will also play a key role in evaluating new technologies, supporting the maintenance and enhancement of applications, and ensuring software is of the highest quality. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._ Rate: $80 - $100 / hr. w2 **Responsibilities:** + **Full Lifecycle Application Development:** + Design, code, and debug applications using Java. + Conduct software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, and software reviews to ensure quality and efficiency. + Identify and analyze system risks and software reliability metrics. + **Object-Oriented Design & Analysis (OOA/OOD):** + Apply object-oriented principles in software development to ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code. + **Software Modeling & Simulation:** + Create and simulate software models to support system development. + **UI/UX Design:** + Design front-end graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to enhance user experience. + **Software Testing & Quality Assurance:** + Perform software testing to ensure functionality and quality. + Automate tests and ensure code meets performance and usability standards. + **Performance Tuning & Optimization:** + Improve the performance, usability, and scalability of applications through performance tuning and optimization. + **Integration & Support:** + Integrate new software with existing systems. + Maintain and document software functionality, ensuring compliance with established standards. + **Technology Evaluation & Implementation:** + Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for potential implementation in the development lifecycle. + **Localization/Globalization:** + Implement localization and globalization features for software applications to support internationalization. + **Collaboration:** + Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions. **Experience Requirements:** **Must-Have:** + Strong proficiency in **Java** development. + Hands-on experience with **Jenkins** for continuous integration and automation. + Expertise in **Perfecto** for mobile application testing. **Nice-to-Have:** + Knowledge of **DevOps** practices and principles. + Familiarity with **TypeScript** . + Experience with **WebdriverIO** for test automation. **Additional Skills:** + Strong understanding of software analysis, debugging, and performance tuning. + Experience with software testing, quality assurance, and automation. + Familiarity with front-end graphical user interface design. + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment. **Education Requirements:** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
