Quality Assurance Engineers (QAEs) at Amazon test cutting edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are able to understand software components, perform manual testing, and write automated tests with scripting tools. They work with Development, Product Management, User Experience, and Customer Support groups to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments. QAEs are responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and will write test plans, create and execute test cases, drive the test case sign-off processes, and report results.

Key job responsibilities
Drive all phases of testing: create test plans, write and execute test cases, and promote continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes for Ring automotive products.

Work closely with engineers, business owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including the requirements gathering and design. Consult with and advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures. Provide regular, detailed status report on project progress, including test cases executed, bugs discovered, and bugs fixed.
