Principal Accountabilities 

Perform ongoing assigned lead activities, such as leading training of Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Technicians, ect.Assist supervisor with auditing supplies to maintain inventory, lead projects and pursue continuous improvements opportunities according to business strategy and supervisorMonitor and administer all plant specific and corporate food safety and quality programs per the Cargill Food and Safety Policy Manual (CFSRA) and the Global Food Safety Standards (BRC)Obtain finished product and shelf life samples for testing and perform preoperational inspections and accompany inspectors during inspections, along with performing quality monitoring of product and processes and provide guidance to others throughout these processesComplete, verify and record monitoring activities process verifications and audits throughout the facility, including raw material, document deviations and record corrective actions retain or hold nonconforming product and engage in disposition decisions of nonconforming product for all areasRoutinely enter data in Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory data system and may provide guidance to other team membersUnderstand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environmentEnsure clear communication regarding product safety and quality between departmentsVerify HACCP and SSOP monitoringCalibrate monitoring equipmentAll other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

Must have a high school diploma/GED or 1 years’ experience in a quality control, production, and/or military roleAbility to perform basic mathMust be able to read and write English fluentlyMust be proficient in computersMust be a self-starter and have good communication skillsAccuracy, precise, and dependableMust be willing to work overtime and weekends as neededMust be willing to cross-train to work in other areas of FSQR coverage Must be able to work in cold/damp and hot/humid environmentsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work well both independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor degreePrevious experience in food / meat plant environmentHACCP certificateFamiliarity with production processes
