Quality Assurance Inspector
Adecco is assisting a customer in Windsor who is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The rate of pay is $23.00. **Job responsibilities:** Assist with planning, coordinating, monitoring and performing functions related to quality assurance. Maintain digital records related to quality assurance. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES::** ? Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of subassemblies and final assemblies of a variety of electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; incoming fabricated components; and/or raw materials. ? Read and interpret specifications of parts & prints relating to incoming and final inspections. ? Take build photos/videos for Streamline to document a build sequence, inspection procedure, damaged part and/or for shipment verification. ? Gather inspection details for product designated as needing incoming inspection and keep log book of part requirements up-to-date. ? Collect and save digital copies of inspection forms, photos, pick tickets and any other necessary documents once inspection is complete. ? Draft Material Review Report (MRR) for internal rejections and move to nonconforming shelf per procedure. Log and file MRRs electronically. ? Initiate and process Vendor Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), Vendor Pick Tickets (VPTs), and return Purchase Orders (POs) for parts rejected on MRRs and Streamline customer RMAs. ? Build inspection detail criteria for jobs into the work instruction. ? Write, revise and file work instructions as well as maintain index on intranet. ? Follow RMA procedure by updating RMA status on intranet once inspected. ? Request prints from vendors, customers and/or salesmen for both new applications and revision changes. ? Update related forms on intranet and print when needed by technicians. ? Work with other Pearse Bertram personnel to resolve inspection questions. ? Communicate with Engineers and Salesmen to ensure schematics are in compliance with the final product. ? Deliver finished assemblies from Streamline to the Warehouse or from bench to packaging station once approved. ? Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with Pearse Bertram quality assurance policies and customer specifications. ? Promote companywide quality improvement efforts. ? Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs. ? Communicate with Vendor regarding quality issues. ? Perform/Assist with internal audits. ? Perform other related duties as required and assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Experience working with in an ISO 9001 quality system a plus. ? Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variation. Experience in Quality Assurance, including use of measurement tools such as digital calipers and digital multimeters, combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a Quality Assurance Specialist with satisfying customers. ? Minimum of 3 years in a QA/inspection role strongly preferred. ? Excellent oral and written communication skills with superb attention to detail, ? Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality while working in a team environment. ? Innovative self-starter with excellent time management skills including superior organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize to effectively meet deadlines. ? Proficiency in Microsoft office applications Word, Excel & PowerPoint. ? Experience working with Lean tools in a manufacturing environment highly recommended. ?
