Quality Assurance Inspector - Subsystems - Experienced

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector for subsytems to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

The Quality Assurance Inspectors perform various JI product inspections. Inspections include in-process and final inspections of product and processes for conformance to specifications and regulations, using precision measuring instruments and devices to ensure conformance to purchase order, drawing requirements, procurement specifications and approved procedures. Evaluations include dimensional, functional, and cosmetic compliance. Inspections are documented as required per applicable inspection plan utilizing appropriate computing applications.

The following essential functions are performed as a Quality Assurance Inspector:

Perform in process and final inspections on customer ordered projects Ensures that Project Teams follow defined compliance requirements and documents those compliances Uses hand and bench mounted precision measuring equipment and gages in validating product conformity  Assists the work force in the interpretation of engineered drawings and procedures Responsible for assisting in the definition of and interpretation of customer and international standards Recommends and coordinates corrective and preventive actions associated with the quality management system, product produced, and supplier provided material Validates processes and performs in-process audits, reporting results via QMS procedures  Assists in writing quality system documents Interprets and navigates engineering data Updates and maintains accurate records in the QMS database Performs other duties as assigned  Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and obtain Special Access Program (SAP) acceptance are required for this position.  The selected individual will be subject to government security investigations/ reinvestigations and/or agree to enter the Continuous Evaluation program as necessary. U.S. Citizens with dual citizenship or U.S. Persons are not eligible for this position.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED. Must have 1-3 years of work experience in a highly regulatory field such as aerospace, military, or medical. Subsystem wire harness and subsystem tube routing installation or validation experience preferred. Familiar with wire harness defects in accordance with the IPC/WHMA-A-620 (insulation, shielding, braiding damage, spot tie placement, and connector backshell) Use of Go-No-Go tools to validate tool effectiveness experience preferred. Familiar with use of a multimeter to verify conductivity, connector pinouts, and troubleshooting. Familiar with aerospace tubing/plumbing installation including swaged, flared, and Wiggins type fittings. Knowledge of inspection procedures, quality assurance procedures, and investigatory techniques. Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Wage range for this role is between $30 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
