20.67-22.02 per hour | Canandaigua, NY, USA | Hourly | Full Time The Arc Ontario Quality Assurance Investigator Salary: $ 20.67 - $22.02 Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Investigator is an integral part of a great team, responsible for conducting thorough and timely investigations of agency incidents reported to OPWDD or the Justice Center, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is never boring, as it involves formulating investigation plans, reviewing incident reports, and conducting interviews into cases of abuse, neglect, and other incidents. Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Improvement & Compliance, the Investigator collaborates with staff across all program areas to ensure corrective actions are implemented and updates are made to relevant databases. Continuous learning is a key part of the job, as the Investigator stays up-to-date with training in abuse/neglect prevention and reporting regulations. They also provide training to staff on investigation procedures, assist in preparing trend reports, and work on various Quality Assurance activities. The position requires maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and may include travel to conduct in-person interviews. This position reports to the Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance. Work Location: Canandaigua, NY Schedule: 8-4 M-F; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs. Responsibilities + Formulate, plan process, and create timetables to conduct accurate, complete, and thorough investigation within OPWDD-specified timeframe. + Prepare for and conduct interviews and obtain sworn statements (when needed) on matters arising from investigations conducted, such as investigations for abuse, neglect, or other categories as defined by OPWDD and the NYS Justice Center. + Provides training to staff upon hire and as needed regarding conducting investigations, incident reporting, and related topics. As a full time team member at The Arc Ontario, you will receive... + Health and retirement benefits + Paid time off- OVER 3 weeks of vacation your first year! + Growth potential/Opportunity for advancement within the agency + Educational Assistance + And more Requirements + Must have a Bachelor's degree in human services, business administration or related field and over two (2) years of related job experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience conducting investigations and a working knowledge of statutes, regulations and laws governing the care and treatment of person with an intellectual disability is preferred. + Must have experience conducting trainings pertaining to abuse/neglect investigations. + Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint are necessary. Ability to master additional software (Therap, Relias, etc.) as needed. + Must have knowledge of investigative techniques. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a necessity. Must have an awareness of and ability to meet regulatory timelines. + Must have a valid NYS Driver's license.
