The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring and supporting consistent adherence to operational quality and compliance requirements at the branch level and supporting regional operations as assigned. This includes managing and maintaining standards and processes related to ISO 9001, GDP, IMS/ADS, auditing, KPI results, and third-party management, including CLG operated CFS locations. The role also involves implementing GHQ IFF standardization and RMS projects, overseeing regulatory programs, and providing quality support in other directed areas.
Responsibilities Work with IFF Quality Assurance Director, RVP, BM and individual branch members to maintain and monitor quality programs, ensure compliance with laws and regulations and support local performance expectations including but not limited to ISO, GDP, Kaizen and other programs as assignedSupport and ensure the reporting, analysis and completion of events and corrective/preventive action plans based on risk and incidents at the local assigned levelLead internal and external audits at the assigned site and work with relevant stakeholders on the preparation, reporting, completion and resolution of any findingsIf applicable to the site, act as the GDP Responsible Person (RP)Ensure quality management systems at the site level are implemented, maintained and in compliance with GHQ, YLA, ISO and GDP programsSupport branch operations to ensure authorized activities are managed and are consistently meeting the quality and service levels as expected from internal and external partiesSupport, track, report and ensure the completion of required branch training related to GHQ, YLA, ISO, GDP and other implemented programs at the siteCoordinating and promptly performing any recall operations as requiredEnsure that relevant customer complaints are escalated and handled effectivelyMaintain an effective change management process at the site levelEnsure that suppliers and customers are approved and third-party reviews, audits and required onboarding processes are in placeConduct site level self-inspections at appropriate regular intervals following a prearranged program and necessary corrective measures are put in placeEnsure the completion of and maintain accurate and required quality records at the branch Assist in the recognition, reporting and prevention of temperature excursions and immediate follow up of alarms Maintain calibration records as required for equipment utilized to perform the operations related to the QMSEstablish the branch specific process and maintain compliance on returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products as neededLead the branch specific quality review meeting as requiredIdentify and support the creation and storage of branch specific SOPsBe the branch point of contact or quality related incidentsQualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 4-6 years of experience in international freight forwarding/Supply chain/Logistics/operation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.In depth knowledge of Warehousing and Logistics operations, Airfreight Forwarding, Ocean Freight Forwarding, and relevant technology is required. Prior experience working in a healthcare/pharmaceutical logistics/supply chain environment with knowledge of GDP is required.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas, collaborate, and lead others to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data gathered from a variety of sources and, through effective decision-making and planning.
Essential Job Functions
Travel overnight as required and up to 10%.Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with Regional Vice Presidents. Branch Managers, Proficiency in supporting and participating in internal and external audits.Ability to analyze trends and promote continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication skills to review and align customer quality agreement expectations with operations and third-party suppliers.Ability to work with operations teams to ensure ongoing education and adherence to quality standards.Work cooperatively and collaborating with others.Review and analyze data and information concerning ISO, GDP, CTPAT and other Quality & Regulatory procedures. Maintain knowledge of ISO, GDP, CTPAT and other Quality and Regulatory procedures. Plan, prioritize and monitor responsible Complete and oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.Comply with all Company policies and procedures
