Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Quality Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct all quality-related activities as it pertains to Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure the products produced exceed or meet the established standards and specifications.

Essential Duties:

- Lead and direct the establishment, maintenance, and compliance of the Quality Management System across functions.

- Coordinate with the Production, Operations, and Customer Service departments to improve our service to customers.

- Formulate and maintain quality objectives that complement corporate policies and goals.

- Ensure maintenance of complete files of analytical test results, COAs, specifications, and test methods, and conduct training for all quality staff on the filing system.

- Develop annual budgets for Quality Assurance & Quality Control, including laboratory expenses, routine supplies, and new equipment.

- Cooperate with the Production Manager to help produce high-quality products.

- Coordinate with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure appropriate personnel are trained in laboratory and plant safety to comply with OSHA regulations.

- Ensure laboratory personnel are trained to handle hazardous waste as required by EPA and DOT regulations.

- Establish and maintain procedures to routinely calibrate laboratory equipment and keep calibration records as required by ISO certification. Schedule regular repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

- Interpret the quality philosophy to key personnel within the organization.

- Assist the Purchasing Department in evaluating raw material samples from vendors and help purchase high-quality raw materials at the lowest cost.

- Provide regular feedback to management on all quality-related activities within the organization.

- Provide regular performance evaluation, feedback, and direction to subordinates.

- Develop subordinates' skills and encourage their growth.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Fairfield, Ohio.

Work Environment

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (some flexibility: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm)
