Job Description:

About the Role: 

The Quality Manager role at the Hanover location establishes, directs and monitors all in plant food safety, quality and sanitation procedures.  You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: 

Working with manufacturing management to improve and expand quality assurance procedures. 

Managing the day-to-day quality assurance of food products produced and shipped. 

Establishing and maintaining all Quality Systems. 

Ensuring compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards to include HACCP and GMP. 

Assuring the utilization of equipment calibration and preventative maintenance systems. 

Implementing and managing of the internal Quality Audit procedure and schedule. 

Maintaining and improving program to inspect all incoming raw materials. 

Analyzing all raw materials specifications and recommending changes to insure the production of a consistent, unadulterated product. 

 

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role onsite with on-call support and flexibility for critical operational demands.  

About You: 

You’ll fit right in if you have: 

A Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in technical studies such as chemistry, food science or related fields 

Five years’ quality assurance experience with 1-2 years demonstrated leadership ability 

Knowledge of Microsoft applications (word, excel, access and power point), Knowledge of SAP/PDM, InfinityQS, SharePoint and Minitab are a plus. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

GFSI (BRC or SQF) experience required. 

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or executive leadership team.
