About Us: Accruent is a global company with multiple software products. This role will be focused on the development of Accruent's RedEye product which handles Engineering Data Management with a cloud-based solution.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional as a Software QA Manager. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in software quality assurance who can also oversee product delivery processes to ensure timely and high-quality software releases. The successful candidate will lead the QA team while working cross-functionally with development, product management, and other stakeholders to drive efficient delivery cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Define and enforce quality standards, strategies, and best practices for software testing.
Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of both manual and automated test strategies.
Monitor and improve the performance of the QA team through regular evaluations and feedback.
Identify skill gaps within the QA team and organize training programs to address them.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define delivery timelines and objectives.
Plan and oversee product releases, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
Manage delivery risks by identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Act as the central point of communication for all product delivery updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role and 3+ years in testing automation.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proven experience in overseeing product delivery cycles, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Strong project management skills and experience with tools such as Jira or Trello.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with managing hybrid or fully remote teams.
Proven experience leading a team from manual testing to automation testing.
Proven experience leading a team to leverage AI on a daily basis.
