Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer responsibilities include identification of risk and remediation, designing Quality Assurance review process for internal processes and Third Party vendor processes.  This position will perform Quality Assurance reviews and prepare internal QA reports reflecting the results of the test work performed. Work performed will include coverage of Loan Operations and Third Party Vendors which support Loan Operations, with focus on compliance/regulatory and operational processes including identifying process gaps, root cause analysis and recommending remediation. This position will also have responsibility for Process Improvement and Project Management. The Risk Management Officer must stay current with all applicable regulatory changes and internal policy updates to ensure that Loan Operations is and continues to operate in a compliant manner with all such requirements.  The Risk Management Officer will work closely with the Loan Operations leadership teams and regularly interact with the Bank’s corporate compliance and internal audit teams.

Responsibilities Third Party Vendor liaison for the Loan Operations management teams, including support with new contract requirements, vendor site visits and collecting required data for on-going review and risk mitigation.Perform self-testing for all compliance/regulatory, operational and Third Party Vendor Loan Operations processes and internal audit and compliance exceptions including identifying process gaps, root cause analysis and recommending remediation Creation of attributes for compliance/regulatory and operational processesCollaborate with Loan Operations Managers and perform walk through with assigned employees to obtain a full understanding of their operational processesUse spreadsheets and databases to maintain detailed recordsRecommend necessary changes within the Loan Operations processes and applicable policies due to changes in lending requirements Work with Quality Assurance Manager to create and validate remediation plansQuality Assurance liaison with Compliance and Internal AuditProvide updates and training to staff on new process improvementsProvide Project Management oversight for process improvementEnsure all Loan Operations’ Internal Procedures are updated with new regulations and/or process changesAssist Loan Operations Managers with procedure writing Research compliance related topics Provide updates and training to the staff on new and upcoming regulation changesProvide assistance and support to Quality Assurance Analyst(s) as needed Assist Quality Assurance Manager in developing Quality Assurance ProgramReview and update the Risk assessments as applicable, including sending out the annual Questionnaire on QA processes and gathering relative information        Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or EconomicsMinimum 10 years of experience in the loan servicing and/or mortgage industryMinimum 5 years in a quality assurance role, compliance and/or audit within the loan operations businessCRCM (preferred)Proficient in all lending compliance regulationsThird-Party Servicer provider experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong Analytical skills with ability to recommend new processes to mitigate riskEffective leader with strong project management skillsKnowledgeable in the areas of controls and Loan Operations riskProficient with Microsoft suite of office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & VisioFirm understanding of current residential mortgage servicing requirementsExcellent problem solving and decision making skillsPrior experience dealing with regulators (preferred) Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $105,000.00/Yr.
