Quality Assurance Planning Engineer

Role Summary:
As a QA Planning Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checksManage relations with customers or third party inspectorsParticipate in external supplier quality testing and auditsParticipate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) eventsMonitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targetsManage customer witness inspectionsMaintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product qualityCreate awareness in the Leadership community regarding what opportunities have been discovered or developed and how to realize themCollaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to QC activities.Offer all documents as per QAP to customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queriesOther duties as assigned


Requirements:

English is requiredExperience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologiesExperience in quailty control departmentUnderstanding of product / process flowStrong organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experienceKnowledge and experience in standards such as ASME, PED, APIPlanning and Risk analysis skillsFamiliar with Engineering CTQs and inspection requirementsCollaborative with Supply Chain and Engineering to evaluate technical risk assessments and apply necessary mitigating requirements to project quality plan (supplier and internal)Review, understand and interpret Customer Quality/Technical Specifications and embed in PQP/ITP/QAPCertified Quality Engineer (ASQ) or equivalent recognized standard (Mandatory for Specialist level, minimum requirement is attained within 6 months of appointment)Has context menu
