Job Title: Quality Assurance SpecialistJob Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist with experience in a laboratory setting within the Food & Beverage industry. The successful candidate will possess a background in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and calibrate laboratory instruments.
+ Conduct laboratory testing for color and moisture.
+ Perform visual checks of packaging and code dates.
+ Evaluate products to make hold, rework, and release decisions.
+ Participate in new product development and sensory testing, including taste testing to ensure compliance with company standards.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment (2-5 years).
+ Familiarity with GMP standards.
+ Knowledge of Chemistry, Biology, and Food Science.
+ Quality assurance and quality control expertise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Associate's degree required.
+ Experience with FDA Audits and SAP is advantageous.
Work Environment
The role primarily involves working in a laboratory within a Food & Beverage manufacturing facility, with some time spent in the production area. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
