QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Systems Engineering Division, Range Systems Department of PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY. Responsibilities You will manage and plan the range quality assurance program and range systems configuration management program. You will direct the evaluation and coordination of a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance process improvement. You will be the primary technical consultant to the range managers on issues related to quality in planning and implementing a sound compliance-oriented quality assurance program. You will resolve complex work assignments utilizing quality assurance regulations, requirements and instructions, Quality Plans, Technical Orders, Military Specifications, and international standards such as ISO 9000. You will review all system change request (SCR) submission and serves as the expert in range CM policies, processes, procedures, principles and methods for managing the implementation, update, or integration of range systems components. You will monitor, review, update and improve all procedural work instructions, changes to the configuration process to ensure compliance in meeting Command configuration management policy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing systems engineering quality assurance (e.g. evaluating the inspection program, creating a system of processes and standards) AND reviewing and evaluating systems configuration processes (e.g. reviewing the implementation, update, or integration of systems components) to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, safety and compliance of a strategic weapons testing and training facility.
