This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with customer requirements while leading, coaching, and coordinating staff and inspection activities. **In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Maintain a safe, quality conscious and cost-effective operation. + Lead, train, evaluate, and schedule work for up to 25 teammates throughout the department including Receiving Inspection, Stockroom Inspection, Machining Inspection, Final Inspection, First Article Inspection and Material Review Board. + Plan and drive the completion of training and development of assigned personnel in support of achieving objectives, including attaining the necessary degree of cross-training. + Focus on Quality Improvements Initiatives. + Promote and achieve continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction. + Serve as an interface between employees and staff and hold regular toolbox meetings to discuss performance against targets, problems, and the day's work schedule. + Ensure effective team communication to maintain dedication to objectives and hold meetings. + Implement lean manufacturing strategies into assigned area(s) through kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 6 S. **Who You Are:** You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles.
