Job Summary
The candidate for this position will administer Quality Systems to improve internal and external quality for the Warren, Michigan site.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Supervisor must have a strong knowledge of Quality fundamentals and will perform one or more of the following tasks:
Assist in the administration of the AS9100 QMS system across the organizationParticipate in customer audits and the annual AS9100 surveillance / certification auditLead the close-out of NC’s assigned from audits by working with process ownersSupervise Quality Technician I / II level associates (Salary)Supervise unionized associates (Hourly)Lead the Internal Audit programLead development of APQP procedures to support new project requirementsAudit procedures and work instruction documents with subject matter expertsRevise procedures, work instructions, forms, and other Quality documentationNavigate Aerospace customer portals / websitesCreate inspection plans for machined componentsPerform measurement system analysisPerform secondary visual inspection and re-measurement of componentsBecome approved Designated Quality Release (DQR) agent for various customersWork with QE and ME controlling and dispositioning non-conforming productParticipate in daily Gemba or Go-and-See production meetingsPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in Quality / Inspection leadership roles3+ years of experience working under a formal Quality Management System (AS9100, ISO, TS, etc.) Associates degree in Engineering related discipline preferredFamiliarity with metalworking or fabrication experience preferredMust be able to read and work to Engineering drawings and technical Work InstructionsMust have experience with and knowledge of basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other mechanical measurement devicesBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage
