About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 S&P Global Mobility The Role: Quality Assurance Team Lead The Team: We are a team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts building a next generation Forecasting platform for Automotive. The Impact: As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, your role is critical in ensuring the quality of software products throughout the development lifecycle. You also serve as both a mentor and a leader, sharing your knowledge and expertise with your team. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders such as product owners, developers, and other quality assurance team members in a globally diverse team utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities: The following are the core responsibilities of a successful candidate - Overseeing and Leading Projects - Manage all testing activities from planning to execution, including leading training sessions and creating or refining processes based on feedback and best practices. Offer constructive feedback to team members and suggest enhancements to processes. Establish and track relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of our QA processes. Designing Test Automation Strategy – Develop a comprehensive strategy for test automation, specifically for large and complex projects within an AGILE methodology. Consider factors like tool selection, scope, and integration with existing processes. Test Automation Frameworks and Tools - Utilize tools such as Selenium and Cucumber to design, create, and execute automated test cases, focusing on both UI and API web services testing. Test Documentation and Test Execution - Review to ensure the accuracy and completeness of test documentation. Actively participate in test execution and verify that software meets quality standards. You ensure proper closure of testing activities, including sign-off and documentation. Automated Testing for Data Comparison - Implement automated testing tools for data comparison and transformation using technologies like Spark. Collaborating with Other Stakeholders and Reporting - You work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to align quality goals. You provide clear and concise reports on test results, defects, and overall quality metrics. What We’re Looking For: A successful candidate would have - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 6-7 years of quality assurance experience in AGILE based software teams. Experience leading quality assurance teams for at least for 1-2 years. Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium and Cucumber with Java. Proficient in at least one CI/CD tool like Gitlab. 1+ year experience using AWS services like ec2 and s3. Experience using big data tools for data comparison and transformation like Spark is a plus.
