Key job responsibilities • Execute test cases for testing software builds on 1P and 3P products and report bugs accurately. • Perform Regression, Build Acceptance Testing, Bug Bashes/ Adhoc Testing, and repetitive testing exercises to ensure build quality. • Create and execute the test plan in detail and derive black-box test cases for features. • Follow testing procedures and guidelines for new builds/releases. • Use software tools for data capture and bug reporting, preferably JIRA. • Install/ configure software builds, run automation scripts, and retrieve logs using provided tools and command line prompts. • Raise all issues related to test case execution in the clarification portal and resolve them as per SLAs. • Exhibit excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. • Thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment. Quality Assurance Technicians (QATs) at Amazon are exceptional individual contributors capable of executing test cases from start to finish with minimal assistance. QATs are responsible for understanding the product in detail, writing test plans and updating the test management tool with test execution results. Quality Assurance Technicians (QATs) at Amazon are exceptional individual contributors who execute test cases from start to finish with minimal assistance. Responsible for understanding products in detail, updating the test management tool with execution results, and ensuring the highest quality standards, QATs thrive in a collaborative environment. Basic Qualifications - Graduate in Technology, Computer Applications, or Computer Science. - 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on user-facing applications and/or embedded systems. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and sprint planning. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, unit, integration, system, performance). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and triage software defects. - Passion for emerging technologies and a desire to help shape the future of voice-based user experiences. - Flexibility to work across multiple shifts and all seven days of the week. - Capability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines. - Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in testing consumer-facing software products, devices, or websites is a plus. - Basic knowledge of and experience using command line prompts. - Experience auditing existing testing procedures. - Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages. - Experience with performance and load testing tools.
