Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will conduct routine floor audits, monitor production processes, and ensure compliance with quality standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high quality of our juice products and supporting our commitment to excellence.
ResponsibilitiesConduct routine floor audits of production and packaging areas to confirm correct product composition, specification, storage, packaging, labeling, and coding.Release product for production.Assist in completion of compliance checks for production runs at the scheduled frequency using either paper or electronic records (Weights, Case Checks, Label Verifications, Case Verifications, Product Coding Requirements, and Customer driven required testing).Monitor and document production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.Perform sensory evaluations and physical inspections of juice products.Collect and analyze samples for microbiological, chemical, and physical testing.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality assurance activities.Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.Report any deviations from quality standards to the QA Manager and assist in corrective actions.Ensure that all laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.Collaborate with production and other departments to resolve quality issues.Essential SkillsQuality assuranceGMPAuditFood qualityFood manufacturingFood safetyQuality checkBatch recordInspectionAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.6-12 months of food manufacturing experience.Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing floor environment, requiring frequent movement between mixing/blending rooms and the production floor. The role is primarily active, with the majority of the shift spent on your feet. The position is for the 2nd shift, running Monday - Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm. The initial training period (2-4 weeks) will take place on the 10am - 6pm shift. The work environment fosters a close-knit, family-type culture and is conveniently located near downtown Hopkins, with access to shops and restaurants.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
