As a Quality Assurance Technician IV you will execute tests on samples of vegetable seed lots following accredited company protocols. This position is in the Emergence Lab Team performing germination and physical purity testing. The team works together to provide accurate and reliable test results to ensure the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.
Prepare and complete routine germination and purity quality control tests accurately and timely, while maintaining team connections and contributing to lab output.
Support training for new employees in specialized tasks to ensure adherence to accredited procedures and promote a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate training and proficiency records within the quality management system and participate in audits.
Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely testing activities and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Identify areas for improvement, take ownership of tasks, and pursue new ideas.
Operate lab equipment daily, ensuring all settings are correct and equipment is properly maintained.
If you... Possess a High School Diploma (required).Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the Natural Sciences or have 2 years of seed lab experience (preferred).Have experience in agriculture or horticulture (preferred).Be able to perform repetitive work while maintaining interest.Complete tasks in a timely and professional manner with concrete deadlines.Learn and work in several technology platforms (SharePoint, Elements, Success Factors, Intranet, MS Outlook).Demonstrate strong organizational and record-keeping skills.Be highly motivated and able to learn and become proficient in all germination tests within one year and most purity tests within two years.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey knowledge and understanding of overall function to other departments and teams.Create your own chemistry with you@BASF
