The Quality Assurance/Tester (QAT) is responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review processes.

Responsibilities:
Candidate will work with the client applications with the purpose of entering key information into certain fields and support the processing of those applications for certain benefits or programs. However, candidate will not actually determine eligibility but provide data entry of information into certain electronic applications and will need to follow detailed instructions and process flow. Source data will come from three different systems. The candidate must be able to navigate to the appropriate system to collect and evaluate the data to be entered into the new system. Source and target data mainly exist on CICS.
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Ability to follow manual work around instructions and step by step processes. Attention to detail is a must.
• Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
• Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information according to screen format.
• Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques, policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and procedures.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Candidate will conduct user acceptance testing by following pre-defined scripts and reporting outputs to a team lead.
• Executes (other team members will plan and construct the test scripts) test scripts.
• Document and report test outputs.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience a data entry operators or entry level systems programmer.
The Quality Assurance/Tester (QAT) is responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review processes. Works with Application Teams during pre and post assessment periods. The QAT Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Team Lead. For each phase end review the QAT is responsible to plan, schedule, execute, and document findings of the review. Possesses a detailed understanding of processes which support the software development lifecycle. The Quality Assurance/Test Lead is responsible for communicating with the State regarding the progress of the quality approach and a summary of the metrics, as well as managing the Quality Assurance Specialist/Testers.
The QAT is a member of a team which plans, constructs, and executes product tests, system tests, unit tests, load tests, volume tests, network tests as well as works with others for release control processes. The more experienced QAT manages, plans, constructs, and executes tests and integrates with release control process.
The QAT creates test models for product test and release control (plans, data, and scripts). Conducts structured walk-throughs. Executes assembly or product tests. Meets time estimates for assigned tasks. Communicates accurate and useful status updates. Follows quality standards. Able to work in a team environment. Completes assigned tasks. Possesses strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience; preferred education 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
