Quality Auditor needed for a manufacturing company in Hillsdale. MI. This is a 2nd shift position and the job is temp-to-direct.

Temp-to-Hire position$19.00 to $20.00 /hourFull Time work availableSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)Support production to use gages properly and make sound quality decisions.Communicate with production and quality to ensure understanding and processes are followed.Develop and implement quality control and testing methods to meet customer requirements.Manage gage calibration per the tracking system to avoid past due situations.Create gage use and care materials and perform related training.Lead and perform Gage R&Rs for new products and current gages and measurement systemsUpdate gage calibration or use instructions to improve awareness and efficiencyRepair and maintain broken or damaged gages to support productionAssist with quality tasks to support APQP activitiesPurchase standard gagesComply with Document Control Procedures Assist with 5S as assignedEvaluate and support 1st piece inspection on CMM, Surfometer, Tracer and Optical Comparator Create, post, distribute and explain Quality Alerts for internal and/or customer issuesCoordinate sorting, compile and report observations and dataVerify vendor and production scrap by line by shiftQuality Auditor Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Proficient in Blueprint ReadingProficient in gage repairDemonstrated ability to make good judgments about product quality Training in Quality Assurance/AuditingAutomotive manufacturing and Plex experience are helpfulProficient in Microsoft OfficeApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
