Wages:$74,248.41-$103,141.76
Under the direction of the Director of Quality and Professional Development, the Quality Consultant, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), functions as an IPC subject matter expert, investigator and educator in best practice standards within the Quality department.
The Quality Consultant, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) builds strong relationships with key partners and is responsible for a range of activities including leading the IPC Accreditation team, monitoring and surveillance, outbreak management, assisting in the collection of infection prevention and control data and statistics, education and implementation of best practices, policy development and quality improvement.
Educational and other Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, continuing care, community care or acute careCertification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred; IPAC course acceptedExperience in quality improvement, and patient safetyBachelor of Science in NursingCurrent registration with CARNAQualifications in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety preferredTravel is required to care homesA personal vehicle is required Who we are:At The Good Samaritan Society, Good Samaritan Canada, and Good Samaritan Delta View Care Centre, we believe that our employees are our number one asset.
