BWXT is currently seeking early career Engineers for multiple positions!
The Engineer will provide Engineering support across various sections of the Quality Control department in the Nuclear Operations Group Lynchburg. Work areas include: Quality Assurance, Vendor Oversight, Statistics, Non-Destructive Testing, Dimensional Inspection, and Metallurgical Evaluations.
Job Description/Duties:
Develops and delivers unique engineering solutions related to inspection equipment and quality assurance processes. Creates and updates drawings and procedures. Troubleshoot issues and develops paths forward. Ensures compliance to contract specifications (contract, drawing, etc.) Interprets contract and drawing requirements to create/modify Operating Procedures, Guidelines, Forms, and Programs. Authors customer submittals to support component certifications. Design/Install various types of inspection related equipment. Support and maintain custom and industry standard inspection related equipment. Train and qualify shop floor personnel on various required inspections. Prioritizes and coordinates multiple engineering activities. Performs process monitoring on applicable processes and products. Participates in design, testing, analysis, project management, and procurement of materials. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Must currently have or will have an Engineering or Physics Degree by May 2025. An ABET-accredited degree is preferred. Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
