Quality Control Chemist

Job Description

We are a chemical and food additives company specializing in the bulk production of salt, magnesium, and other food products. We are currently hiring for Analytical Chemists in a Quality Control setting. All chemists will interface with the production line, supervisors, and the quality assurance department.

Hard SkillsPerform analytical testing using wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation on c-GMP regulated products following compendial methods (USP/NF, EP, FCC, JP etc.)Perform microbiological testing on c-GMP regulated products using compendial methodsPerform routine and non-routine testing using basic and advanced laboratory instrumentationInterpret analytical data and assist chemical operators and engineers with applying this data to the manufacturing processMaintain data integrity in both written and digital formPrepare laboratory test solutions and perform standardizations of volumetric solutionsDevelop and author analytical methodsInventory and order laboratory supplies, instruments, and reagentsSoft SkillsWork under general direction of the Quality Control Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standardsExercise a considerable degree of independence in conducting a wide range of experimentsMaintain a clean and organized work areaEnhance site safetyInstruct other personnel in specific areas of quality control laboratory testingLead lower-level laboratory personnel in maintenance and preparation of laboratory materials and equipmentData mining and trendingProcess validation supportRoot cause analysesProblem solvingStatistical data trendingSupport for non-conformance investigationsProduction support activitiesAbout Actalent
