Quality Control Coordinator
GENERAL TOOL COMPANY INC
Generates, stores, maintains quality data packets (QDPs) and electronic communication to customers.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
+ Provides clerical support for Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
+ All quality documents are easily retrievable.
+ Quality documents and evidence of inspection results are organized and controlled.
+ First Articles and requests for deviations, concessions and nonconformances are processed in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Maintain the record retention files on a daily basis.
+ Prepare data packages per QPR requirements.
+ Submit VRMRs (General Dynamics' electronic system), case records or concessions per the direction of the Quality Manager/Supervisor or the Quality Engineer.
+ Submit electronic First Articles per the direction of the Quality Manager/Supervisor or the Quality Engineer.
+ Maintain records of submittals to and approvals from customers for First Articles and nonconformances.
+ Keep electronic documents organized and purged as needed.
+ Scan quality documents for electronic archiving.
+ Retrieve data and sales orders from record retention as needed.
+ Accumulate data needed for statistical analysis.
+ Interact with customers as required.
+ Provide other administrative assistance as necessary such as coordinating customer / source inspection meetings.
+ Assume other responsibilities as assigned, including coverage for the front desk when needed.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION:
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Minimum five years of experience in a quality support role within a manufacturing environment or minimum of an associate's degree in quality field and three years of related manufacturing based quality experience required.
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project required.
+ Ability to read blue prints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
