MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Receiving Inspector:
Perform inspection and testing on raw materials, parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and materials received from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure conformance to specifications. Product First Article inspection. Prepare Material Review Reports and Material Return Notices. Prepare Supplier / Subcontractor Monthly Quality & Workmanship and Rating Reports. Entry of inspection data into Quality database.In Process Inspector:
Perform inspection on parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final product supplied by production with specified requirements to establish whether conformity is achieved for each characteristic on the parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final product. Perform first piece inspection, continuity test, hi pot test, cable connection test, cable pin pull test as per specifications and work instructions, communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor and quality manager. Check and match product as per ECN, bill of material and processes. Accurately complete work order travelers. Assist with labeling the product as per customer purchase order. Identify and document non-conformities in Quality database as per Mistras Quality procedures. Designate product to stock or to test department for next process once in-process inspection completed. Assist and support the Quality Manager to ensure that all products and services meet Mistras’ established standard of quality. Adhere to Mistras Quality Management system procedures.Final Inspector responsibility:
Perform inspection on parts, subassemblies, assemblies and final product supplied by production with specified requirements to establish whether conformity is achieved for each characteristic on the parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final product. Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; dispositions, discrepant product for re-work, scrap or to the Material Review Board for further review Inspect pulled order and product from stock by production coordinator. Perform in-process and final inspection (consecutively) for custom orders and custom products. Verify sales order matches customer purchase order; identify discrepancies to the sales team and quality manager. Verify final product for non-standard orders are as per the purchase order; identify discrepancies to the sales team and quality manager. Send required documents, for example CE certification, FM certification, conformance certificates, and declaration certificates, with customer orders; document customer communication in quality records. Scan all travelers and test data for products to the Quality scan folder monthly. Computer data entry of inspection data. Accurately complete work order travelers. Create packing list as per Mistras standard product packages. Document non-conformities in Quality database as per Mistras Quality procedures. Adhere to Mistras Quality Management system procedures. Support Engineering and Customer Service with customer related document requests and quality information related to RMA’s.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma, or higher At least 5 years Quality Control experience in an electronic manufacturing environment Good communicational skills (written, verbal) Computer literate - MS Office Use of mechanical and electronic measuring equipment Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings Good organizational and record keeping skillsESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
