Quality Control Inspector

The IMAP Generator Quality Control (QC) inspector is responsible for evaluating the equipment preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks and their associated deliverables completed by IMAP Technical Teams (Teams) in accordance with the IMAP Generator scope of work and the IMAP Quality Control Plan as described below.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Quality Control Work Verification:

Performs an assessment of completed tasks after an IMAP Team’s departure from an overseas U.S. Embassy or Consulate (Post), to include:

· Assessing the preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and/or corrective repairs (CR) completed by a Team;

· Reviewing for completion and accuracy the Team’s service documentation, to include Service Reports, equipment PM checklists, bills of material, and recorded readings and measurements;

· Documenting observed conditions through photography, where permissible, and identifying issues with completed work, incomplete tasks, or remaining deficiencies;

· Drafting descriptive summaries of observations, checklists, and discussions with the Post staff, providing recommendations for improving quality in the delivery of services, and preparing Quality Control Work Verification reports.

Quality Control Management Assessment:

Performs an assessment of a Team’s performance while the Team is deployed at a Post and providing advice, direction, and training to the Team when appropriate, to include:

· Assessing the performance of PM tasks and/or CR while they are being completed by the Team;

· Reviewing with the Team their management tasks, including leading meetings, interacting with Post staff, their Field Service Supervisor (FSS) and/or Senior Service Manager (SSM), and the IMAP Office staff;

· Reviewing with the Team their service documentation, to include Service Reports, equipment PM checklists, bills of material, and recorded readings and measurements;

· Documenting observed conditions through photography, where permissible, assisting the Team in identifying issues with completed work, incomplete tasks, or remaining deficiencies;

· Drafting descriptive summaries of observations, checklists, and discussions with the Team and Post staff, noting areas of strength and providing recommendations for improving quality in delivery of services, and preparing Quality Control Management Assessment reports.

Quality Assurance Program:

Performs associated quality assurance program tasks, to include:

· Identifying areas for improvement in the Program’s processes and procedures;

· Reviewing Teams’ Service Reports for completeness, accuracy, coordination and comprehension, and providing feedback to the Team’s SSM and/or FSS;

· Creating new and editing existing quality assessment checklists, forms, and report templates;

· Providing recommendations to FSS and/or SSM for improvement to Team tasks to raise the level of service quality and create uniformity across all IMAP service types; and

· Assisting in performance of other Program quality assurance activities as assigned.

Deliverables may include:

1. QC Inspection Reports;

2. Weekly Status Reports;

3. Fully complete and detailed QC check sheets for all equipment assessed;

4. General summaries of out-brief meetings
