Quality Control Inspector

Our client, a leading supplier to consumers and commercial kitchens, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for their Santa Ana, CA location. This role is crucial for ensuring that products meet customer specifications and company standards throughout production.

Duties include:

Monitoring product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.Assisting with non-conforming product issues, including completing investigation forms and managing control documentation.Managing and testing experimental products.Performing weekly GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) audits and pre-operation inspections.Conducting metal detector checks at various stages of production and ensuring regular checks by production associates.Calibrating thermometers weekly, performing hourly line checks, and ensuring product dimensions, appearance, labels, and packaging quality.Investigating foreign material incidents and managing ingredient or packaging holds.Monitoring food safety and reporting incidents such as GMP violations and contamination.Maintaining accurate records of all quality and food safety checks and reporting issues to supervisors.Assisting with product presentations, including baking, display setup, and cleanup.Participating in weekly and monthly team meetings.

Skills required:

Ability to quickly learn Quality Document Management Systems (QDMS) or similar software.Strong problem-solving skills related to product quality and manufacturing processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, with report generation and analysis capabilities.Solid understanding of GMP and food safety regulations.Exceptional attention to detail in documentation and inspections.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with production teams.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Adaptability to changing production schedules and tasks in a fast-paced environment.Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is highly preferred.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday12:30 PM - 9:00 PM (Training will be on A Shift from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for two weeks before transitioning to B Shift)

Pay Rate:

$24.25 per hour
